10 random things about me -- I've gotten tagged by, respectively,
aircrash and
niseag03, so here goes. Y'all just get ten, there's no way I want to come up with twenty.
1. I make random sounds. it's not peculiar at all for me to make *poink* noises (picture a cartoon hair-pulling), or random door squeaks.
2. In conjunction with the last one-- i can make my voice do some weird things-- I can sing at almost the same pitch as Sarah McLachlan or Shania Twain-- if I have the air to do it. Yes, this is in the car, no, there are no recordings.
3. My hair looks redder when it's long. And my goatee is all different colors-- there are damn-near-black parts and a could whiskers that are white.
4. I basically have the pattern of freckles on myself memorized. This only occurs to me when I wonder where one came from, or if I try and wash one off and it stays.
5. Sunny days with blue skies make me bust out in an involuntary grin-- which makes me laugh.
6. I have freaky-long eyelashes.
7. Sporadically, my S's whistle through my teeth. Yes, like the gopher on Winnie the Pooh.
8. Sometimes when I crack my neck (I don't use my hands/arms, I just lay it on my shoulder and it cracks with my neck muscles) it makes my fingers twitch. And I sorta like it...
9. I don't like writing in black ink. I much prefer blue-- rollerball. If i have to, gel ink.
10. When I'm very tired, I'll run my fingers through my hair, front to back. People have noticed this. If I'm driving and start this, I shouldn't really be driving any longer...

1. The tagged victims have to come up with eight different points of his/her perfect lover.
2. Have to mention the gender of his/her perfect lover.
3. Tag eight other victims to join this game
4. If you are tagged the second time, there's no need to do this AGAIN.
5. Lastly, most importantly, HAVE. FUN. DOING. IT.
people who know me decently well know most of these. really, they do.
Gender'd be female, on "perfect lover" for me.
1. short hair. I'm a big fan of short hair, for some reason. I like the bob haircuts, and all. (and Natalie Portman looked pretty good with a buzzcut, too...)
2. not too tall. Like, roughly my height, which is roughly 5'5". 6'3" is right out.
3. southern/texas accent, but not too much. The "it's shake n'bake, an' ah hepped" girl? TOO MUCH ACCENT. (this is distinctly a subjective thing. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. This is basically the "oh hell no-- no Brooklyn accents" line.)
4. not all uptight about everything. That is, doesn't go from "oh, how sweet" to "OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO KILL _____" in like, ten seconds. justifiable concern and anger is fine. Overkill and serious anger issues-- not so much. This extends to music, and sense of humor-- I'm a wide-spectrum person. There are times for high-brow humor. There are also times when Beavis-n-Butthead humor is acceptable. And anyone who is of the opinion that "(type of music) ALWAYS sucks" isn't telling the truth.
5. Non-smoker.
6. Believes she's pretty without makeup. (this one could be lumped in with "confidence". Yeah. But this one particular thing I find awesomely attractive in girls who believe it.)
7. truthful. what? this is self explanatory.
8. confident. Not arrogant. Confidence and arrogance are different. Confidence is sexy. Arrogance isn't.
So if any of y'all know someone I don't already know (who's single) who fills those categories(or even some of them)... point her my way, hm?

not much going on, going to take the fundamentals of engineering exam in October, with Adrienne. that will be good, i can get started on becoming a Professional Engineer, at which point I can call myself an "engineer", instead of some sort of technician. It's become a legal title, same as doctors and lawyers, in the state of Texas. So I've got something to study, soon. woohoo.
