The phrase "back in'na back, back 'ere"('ere like in "there", not "here")((back in the back, back there)) NEVER ceases to make me pause. I use this phrase, I've said it before talking to the Texas Accent Chick and she laughed at me. I was talking with a guy in the plant who's originally from Alabama, maybe fiftyish, and he said that, explaining where some guy fell in a water-filled hole, and I immediately knew what he meant.
Just my grin-worthy phrase for the day.

so today I was talking with the secretary in the plant we're working at, and she said something about hunting, and we got to talking, right?
One of the guys we work with is from Venezuela, and so I try as hard as I can to speak clearly and correctly, so as to be understood, and not screw up his English. Anyone who's actually spoken with me --especially when I'm tired, nervous, or talking fast-- knows THAT SHIT IS HARD FOR ME TO DO.
And once she mentioned hunting and outdoor stuff... yeah, three weeks of speaking clearly-- fuckin' GONE, man. Accent came back with a vengeance.
heh.

hahah. It's almost like this happens on purpose, but i swear i don't mean to find girls with accents. met a girl tonight... cute, and she just so happens to have a texas accent. it's kinda slight, but cute nonetheless...we're going to go do soemthing later in the week.
but she's graduating a semester early. In December. hmmm. i seem to also have that happen on purpose.
anyway... party with bonfire people was good, partly from what i said in the top part. can't wait to go chop down some trees again. I love having calluses on my hands for the fall. I love not being able to pick up my pen because my hands are purple from the axe. I love the sound of a sharp axe hitting solidly into a tree. I love the sound of people yelling "HEADACHE!" as the tree cracks and falls. I love not giving a care what i look like, and that everyone else that is family for three months doesn't care either. I love smelling "like bonfire".
Once again...excited and can't wait.
and meeting new people is good too. glad everyone's coming back.

hehe. tonight was fun.
Dinner was good, dessert was good. Alexis (Adrienne's sister, that makes like 4 Alexises that I know; hey there,
teofphiglet!) made a chicken-and-dumplings thing that was really good. Adrienne made this pineapple-and-cherry-and-crumble-cake dessert, and it was good too. And I brought the movie. yah. yay, contribution.
So I got to meet Alexis, who I've heard about for like 3 years, and she's lived in the same town, about a mile from Adrienne's place, the whole time. Alexis has a Texas accent and curly hair! (eep. cute. anyway...) Good to finally meet these people you hear so much about.
Spiderman was good, and so Sunday we're gonna go watch the second one. yay.
ahh. now to bed, for 4 hours. and then, Albertson's! </sarcasm>

this list about being a Texan is almost 100% accurate about me. Something like 90-95%. hah. I'm not sure if that should bother the educated part of my brain, on some level. It doesn't, but maybe it ought to.
I love being from Texas. I love it. This is why, if I can swing it, I'm not living anywhere but Texas. Ever. (hah. so there.) And I think a small town (well, okay, 50,000. just not Houston.) would be good. Temple's my kind of deal.

I may actually get to go home Tuesday for my dad's birthday. that's the thing I miss about this whole "working crappy hours on a sunday" deal. No weekend trips, without a good deal of manipulation of schedules. THe extra dollar an hour on sundays isn't really nough money overall to be worth the trouble. I'd rather be able to go out Saturday nights, and then make church Sunday mornings. Eh. when school picks up, I guess.

Listening to "Electric Blue", by the Cranberries, and remembering. that's all there is to this section.

I actually had someone (that I don't know, at all) call me out on ending a sentence with a preposition yesterday. (y'know, the "I ought to go look that up" kind of sentence)
While we were sitting on the front porch, at the Dixie Chicken, the most redneck place in town. I love it there...
wtf.
Eh, I never profess to speakgood English English well. (see?)
ok, g'night, yo.
